Information used to deliver pages

A page request sends your IP address, requested URL, request time and technical browser information to the infrastructure serving the website. The website operator and hosting and security service providers use connection information to deliver files, investigate faults and protect the service from misuse. The website does not require an account and has no contact form, newsletter system or embedded analytics and advertising scripts. Images and website files load from the website host; fonts come from your device.

Language selection

If you enter through the root address without a saved manual language choice, your browser requests https://ipwho.is/?fields=success,country_code. IPWHOIS receives your IP address and technical connection information. The returned country code chooses German for DE, AT, CH and LI; other countries select English. Errors or a wait exceeding five seconds also lead to English.

The service describes possible storage in different countries, so using the English edition does not mean all processing occurs in the United States. See the IPWHOIS privacy notice for that service’s processing and retention details. Direct /en/ and /de/ links do not make this lookup.

Cookies and browser storage

The website code sets no cookies. When you choose DE or EN, lrmldigital.de saves lrml-language in localStorage with the value de or en. This remembers your requested language rather than a visitor identifier. It has no automatic expiration and stays until you change it, clear website data or your browser removes it. Clear this website’s stored data in your browser to remove the preference. Language links also work when storage is unavailable.

No affiliate tracking scripts or affiliate cookies are embedded in this version. Reading an article or the affiliate disclosure does not activate advertising tracking.

Search and messages

Article search and filters run in your browser. Search words, category and page number appear in the URL, so the host or someone you share the address with may receive them. No external search service is used.

If you email the website, your sender address, message and any information you choose to include are used to respond. Recipients include the website operator and mail service providers involved in delivering and storing the message.

Retention and your requests

Retention criteria for technical data are page delivery, investigation of specific faults and prevention of misuse. For correspondence, the criteria are responding to the request, necessary follow-up and applicable legal or evidentiary requirements. This notice does not assert a fixed deletion period for the host. The language preference follows the storage duration described above, and IPWHOIS provides its own retention information.
